Cappadocia ( Antalya-Cappadocia / Ürgüp 485 km)
A three days tour into the heart of Anatolia where three volcanoes, wind and rain formed the landscape and human forces reshaped the soft volcanic tuff into underground cities, churches, cave houses and pensions. Cappadocia must be visted and visited again. This tour will only take you to the main attractions.
First day: Early departure, stop in Konya for lunch and visit to Mevlana museum

Second day: roundtrip along fairy chimneys, coloured valleys and villages, a visit to Göreme open –air museum, a monastic settlement with over thirty churches and monastries where you can get a good impression of the development in frescoe painting

A visit to an underground city
A total of forty such settlements have been discovered, but only a few have opened to the public. The best known are Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı. In origin the cities date back to Hitite times ( 1900-1200 BC) . Later they were used by Christian communities.
The third day return to Antalya.
On your way back you will visit Sultan hani Caravansaray, a public inn built by the Seljuks in 1229 and good preserved..
