Turkey has been inhabited for over 3000 years. Romans and Turkish tribes succeeded inhabitants of the Greek colonies and the mainland. They spread out over entire Asia Minor, but their heritage can be found mostly in the west and southwest of Turkey. During this 10-day tour you will, amongst others, visit the roman city of Hieropolis, which is situated above the limestone terraces of Pamukkale, and the impressive ruins of Ephesos. You'll stay in the national park by the Bafa lake, can make a boat tour to the city of Caunos in Dalyan and then head back to Antalya along the Lycian coast.
(The above mentioned tours are on a 7-day minimum basis, with stays in good midrange hotels and pensions with bed and breakfast or, when possible in more authentic accommodations. They also comprise extensive routedescriptions with tips for sites along the road. The car is a B-class car) |
